Digital Pioneers for a Green Future

  • News

Sustainability and digitalization are the two major drivers of change. But how can they be strategically combined?

With its seminar ‘Digitalization & Sustainability Compact’, TUM Campus Heilbronn offers a unique opportunity to prepare companies for the Twin Transformation.

Whether it's the Green Deal, the Circular Economy Action Plan, the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act or the Ecodesign Regulation for sustainable products – regulatory requirements are putting increasing pressure on companies. At the same time, customers and stakeholders expect sustainable business practices. “Twin Transformation combines digitalization and sustainability in a systematic approach,” explains Dr Dina Barbian, Managing Director of the eco2050 Institute for Sustainability and lecturer at the seminar.

The compact course teaches legal basics and introduces concepts of circular economy and climate accounting. Participants also learn about digital tools for sustainable business models.

Practical and Interdisciplinary

The seminar is aimed at specialists and managers from companies who want to gain a concise overview of the twin transformation and better understand the fundamental cornerstones of the interplay between digitalization and sustainability.

The one-day course shows how sustainable strategies can be managed transparently and efficiently. “Digital technologies accelerate sustainable innovations, reduce resource consumption and create competitive advantages for companies. In the new compact course, participants learn in a practical way how digital levers can be used for sustainable corporate strategies,” adds Barbian.

The next date for the one-day workshop ‘Digitalization & Sustainability Compact’ is 28 November.
