There’s no doubt about it: the future is digital. The way we live and work is increasingly shaped by digital technologies – and it is up to us to make the most of them. How can we utilize new technologies and apply them to processes, business models, and management styles? Our Center for Digital Transformation links academic research with technological progress and business needs. 

 

Our international researchers examine trends, challenges, and opportunities and tackle digital transformation from a variety of angles: In what ways can augmented reality (AR) make on-the-job training faster and more efficient? How can we utilize sensors to manage inventory? What does it take to successfully launch a platform business?

Research Topics at the Center for Digital Transformation

Supporting decision-making through the use of data analytics, machine learning, and optimization: we explore how specific applications, new algorithms, and methods can be used to improve decision-making across various fields, from healthcare to finance, from marketing to supply chain management.

What are the key factors for successfully launching a platform business? We analyze digital business models and explore what makes digital innovation succeed – whether it’s gaining traction among users, suppliers, and consumers, or assessing what it takes to establish successful platforms in the market.

We look at the overall impact of new technologies on business models, processes, and business ecosystems. We also explore the use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) in industry and investigate the impact of digitalization and digital innovation on the financial markets.
