The CEO Leadership Series is the flagship event series of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and takes place at the Heilbronn campus.
The goal of the event series is to connect top managers with students. The guests first hold a panel discussion and then respond to questions from the students. This gives students the opportunity to learn about the fascinating life and work of successful and renowned managers, and become familiar with different companies.
The CEO Leadership Series was inaugurated by the former President of Germany and has featured executives from various companies, including public firms that are part of the AEX 25 (Netherlands), CAC 40 (France), DAX 40 (Germany), Dow Jones 30 (USA), and SMI 20 (Switzerland), among others.

Ralph Bast
Ralph Bast is CEO of Aurora, a leading manufacturer of heating and air conditioning systems for on- and off-road vehicle series and a hidden champion in southwest Germany, and is one of the most important managers in the region.
Before his appointment as CEO of the Aurora Group, Mr. Bast was CEO of an SME, after having served as President of the Global Automotive Bearing Business at SKF. Prior to that, he worked for over a decade at ZF Friedrichshafen, including a two-year stint as General Manager in Mexico, and most recently as Head of the Business Unit Passenger Car Automatic Transmissions. Mr. Bast began his career as an engineer in the German Armed Forces.
Mr. Bast holds a degree in engineering from the University of the Bundeswehr Munich and a degree in industrial engineering from the FernUniversität in Hagen.
