To determine this, the consulting firm Emerging identified more than 200,000 digital professionals worldwide and tracked their university degrees.
Ranked 8th, TUM is among the top 10 in the “Digital Leaders in Higher Education” ranking for the third consecutive year—the only university in the European Union to achieve this.
The ranking is composed of several categories. In “Computer Science,” graduates who develop digital technologies are identified. Here, TUM ranks 2nd worldwide. The “Entrepreneurship & Innovation” category includes founders who bring new digital products to market—with TUM ranking 5th. In “Digital Transformation,” the ranking counts graduates who shape change in decision-making positions. In this category, TUM ranks 14th.
Specialists and Entrepreneurs
At TUM Heilbronn Campus, the TUM School of Computation, Information, and Technology (CIT) teaches digital skills, while the TUM School of Management (MGT) teaches entrepreneurship skills. Both schools contribute to the university’s top ranking.
Other rankings also show that TUM optimally prepares its students for the professional world. In the “Global University Employability Ranking,” which surveys approximately 12,000 managers in more than 30 countries, TUM ranks 13th. In the “CHE University Ranking,” students consistently give very high ratings for academic conditions and course offerings.
