Experience Europe through workshops, dialogues and excursions connecting EU history, democracy and climate neutrality. Join us for interactive learning and real-world insights during the Europe Dialogue Series at TUM Campus Heilbronn.

The Europe Dialogue Series at TUM Campus Heilbronn invites students to explore Europe through interactive workshops, public debates, academic learning formats and excursions. 

The program connects EU history, democratic values and today’s transformative agendas — from the Local Climate and Environment Action to cross-border cooperation. 

Together with the Franco-German Institute (dfi) and the City of Heilbronn, the series offers hands-on experiences, expert insights and opportunities for students to actively engage in shaping Europe’s future.

Explore how European initiatives like the EU Cities Mission and the EU Green Capital framework drive local climate and environmental transformation in Heilbronn. Through a hands-on workshop and field insights, you prepare perspectives for an evening public panel with experts and policymakers.

Panel Discussion – Local Climate and Environment Action

Join us for a high level public debate on how EU climate policy shapes everyday life and local transformation in Heilbronn. Together with a Member of the European Parliament, leading experts from TUM, representatives of the city and the Franco-German Institute, we explore what Europe’s climate action means for cities, citizens and future generations.

Excursion to Franco-German Institute in Ludwigsburg: Experience Europe, understand Europe

An immersive session exploring how the Franco‑German reconciliation shaped today’s European Union. Using multimedia materials, personal stories and historical testimonies, students reflect on European identity, intercultural understanding and the role of narrative in shaping democracy. Session hosted with the dfi.

Excursion: Two days in Kehl-Strasbourg

Experience Europe right where it happens: During this two-day excursion to Strasbourg and Kehl, you will dive into cross-border everyday life and discover how closely the region is interwoven through culture, cooperation, and mobility across the Rhine. Highlights include a visit to the European Parliament, conversations with local stakeholders, and firsthand insights into how European integration shapes daily life in one of the EU’s most vibrant border regions.
