The CEO Leadership Series is the flagship event series of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and takes place at the Heilbronn campus.
The goal of the event series is to connect top managers with students. The guests first hold a panel discussion and then respond to questions from the students. This gives students the opportunity to learn about the fascinating life and work of successful and renowned managers, and become familiar with different companies.
The CEO Leadership Series was inaugurated by the former President of Germany and has featured executives from various companies, including public firms that are part of the AEX 25 (Netherlands), CAC 40 (France), DAX 40 (Germany), Dow Jones 30 (USA), and SMI 20 (Switzerland), among others.

Dr. Werner Brandt
Dr. Werner Brandt served for nearly a decade as Chairman of RWE, a leading energy company with approximately 20,000 employees and a turnover of around €20 billion, and is one of Europe’s most distinguished top managers.
Dr. Brandt has also served on the supervisory boards of Siemens, ProSiebenSat.1, Lufthansa, Qiagen, and Osram, among others. Prior to his work on supervisory boards, he was CFO of SAP, one of the world’s largest software companies, for more than a decade, following his time as CFO and labor director of Fresenius Medical Care. Before that, he was a member of the management board and Vice President of European Operations at Baxter Germany. Mr. Brandt began his career at Price Waterhouse (now PwC).
Dr. Brandt studied business administration at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and subsequently earned his doctorate from the Technical University of Darmstadt.
