The CEO Leadership Series is the flagship event series of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and takes place at the Heilbronn campus.
The goal of the event series is to connect top managers with students. The guests first hold a panel discussion and then respond to questions from the students. This gives students the opportunity to learn about the fascinating life and work of successful and renowned managers, and become familiar with different companies.
The CEO Leadership Series was inaugurated by the former President of Germany and has featured executives from various companies, including public firms that are part of the AEX 25 (Netherlands), CAC 40 (France), DAX 40 (Germany), Dow Jones 30 (USA), and SMI 20 (Switzerland), among others.

Dr. Nicolas Peter
Dr. Nicolas Peter is Chairman of the BMW Group, the world’s leading premium manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles with more than 150,000 employees and revenues of over €140 billion, and is one of the most influential top managers in the global automotive industry.
Dr. Peter has been Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt, a foundation that supports future-oriented solutions to society’s most pressing challenges, since 2020. Prior to that, he served for six years as a member of the management board of BMW, where he was CFO and responsible for the group’s finances. Before his appointment to the management board, Mr. Peter was Head of Region Europe, having previously served as Head of BMW Sweden and Head of Group Controlling. Dr. Peter began his career at BMW AG and held various management positions in Finance, among others in Belgium and France.
Dr. Peter completed his law studies at the University of Munich with the Second State Examination and received his doctoral degree from the same university.
